re; menu

I wish I were going, but then you'd have three in the kitchen, so probably one too many.
Kevin can cook just about anything as well as anyone from his videos, so I'm sure it will all be delicious.
Most enjoy bbq pulled pork, cole slaw, potato salads, hot or cold, like baked red skin with bacon. That's if you want a seasonal fare menu.
Baked beans also. Nothing wrong with burgers or steak either. Bratwurst's?
Pasta or pasta salads? Lasagne~? Ital. sausage, onions and peppers in sauce on hoagie rolls?
Polish style sausage with sour kraut or sweet cabbage and kluski noodles?
Stuffed peppers?
But, I digress. Munchner schnitzel? Saur braten with spaetzel?--Needs at least three days to marinade.
If a few have special diet needs, a lighter fare may be wise also. Poached fish with rice and asparagus?
A lightly breaded or not baked lemon chicken? I just use boneless skinless breasts
And season the bread crumbs. Then just sear them off in some EVOO, one minute per side, then transfer to a baking sheet or dish with thinly sliced lemons in between them and on top.
Of course, you can also do a chili, or enchiladas, etc.
Soaked overnight, and baked French toast casserole, or an egg strata with veggies and or potatoes?
Hope all have a great time, enjoy!

Hans & Kevin!
You don't need ANY suggestions about what to make!! It will ALL be gone before you know it by an appreciative crowd! Go for it! Greg

Mike if you're not going why are you making suggestions?

Just sayin'.....

Hans, I am sure you and Kevin will handle this task with ease and create a really delicious menu!

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but this is going be a "eat as you walk around" event (Saturday at the museum) or the last one in Oct, 2010 was.   So create things that are easy to hold / carry / eat while standing.   Also, items that are either portioned so they don't need to be cut, or cut very easily once on the plate would be best.

A couple options I offer are: 1. Caprese salad on skewers, they're fresh & delicious!    2.  At our house warming party we had a mashed potato martini bar.   This was a HUGE hit and SO much FUN!   Warm mashed potatoes served in plastic martini glasses with 8 or 10 different topping options (cheese, chives / green onions, sour cream, bacon bits, chili, gravy, grilled chicken, sauteed mushrooms, etc.)   Use your imagination!

Kevin

Kevin,

um, well, I didn't know I had to be going to make a suggestion. But I admit I do have a big mouth. It's haunted me my entire life, but my outgoing personality and sincere demeanor always make up for it. Otherwise I'd likely be alone and crabby everyday.
No, Hans and Kevin don't need suggestions, but they did ask. So why follow others comments made by one (not you Kevin) who you don't like?
I don't dig ditches, or graves, or hire others to do my dirty work, but I can cook.
In fact, I'm better than many I know at mending fences also. At least the neighborly type. After all, equality isn't defined as identical sameness of anything. So kudos to those of us with less in common who manage to find a bit of common ground.
You may never meet me, but you may remember me, as I may you.
Live long, and prosper.

Question for Norgeway

you ever venture out to a hole-in-the-wall called Keatons BBQ on Cool Springs Road?
