I have an nice old Lady who needs to be taken apart and renovated.
Can any of you Kenmore/Whirlpool experts direct me to a thread or threads where a dryer is broken down, repaired and rebuilt?
Thanks.

Ken, here's a thread about the '65 Lady K dryer that's now my daily driver in St-Liboire:

I did a good bit of work on the '66 Inglis (also a Whirlpool clone) dryer but I didn't post all the photos. Let me know if you have any questions where a picture may be worth that proverbial thousand words!

It is fair to assume that the KitchenAid dryers are as reliable and as fast as the Kenpools? I really like the drum design of the old dryers with the two integral bumps and the one attached baffle, but I wouldn't mind having an extra large capacity dryer that is at least as fast as the standard ones. |
