Dear all,
Last weekend was a lovely one, so me & a friend decided to get a few machines out for an airing...plus it was also a bit of a display for a photoshoot.
Retro washers make up such a big part of my life, i know many think it is weird, but they bring me so much joy!!
Happy sunday everyone.
Keith

Very cute - did you do any wash outside?  Your machines look like new gleaming in the sunshine.

Hi Keith

You're machines are looking in great condition there - lovely to see.

My Gran had the same Hotpoint Twin Tub and my Auntie had a Keymatic 3226 - brill machines. Brought a smile to my face.

I'm restoring a Keymatic 3224 of my own - hope it looks as good as yours when I'm done.

Mike.

Great to see

some of your machines Keith, they look `just out of the showroom' in the sunshine, great to that you could give them a run to.

Great line up

Nice to see these machines in such good shape Keith. My Mum had a Hoover twin tub, but I always used to wish it was the same as our neighbour across the road who had a Hotpoint Supermatic with that wonderful agitator and recirculation of the wash water. I used to follow my Mum over when she went for a coffee and just watch all the fun as she appeared to have it in front of her sink everyday with her pink Marigolds on!

Thanks for sharing.

Alan

Very nice collection! I love the look of the slant-front Hoover Keymatic. What is the machine on the far left with the narrow drum? Is it a spinner?

Have always had a wee thing for the 1400s.
All are looking grand!
Always think it's good to have a play with old machines now and again to keep them functioning well.
For some reason it's more fun when the suns out!

Hi Eugene, yes the small machine to the far right with the Omo washing powder on it is a spin dryer, made by Servis.

Thanks all the nice comments, the machines are all working and we put them all through their paces, wash, wring, rinse, spin :) i will be getting another selection out over the next few weeks.

Get those machines out guys.

Cheers Keith

Looking good Keith, nothing like a sunny day for a polish and run through !! Are you getting ready for the exhibition you mentioned last year ?

The Hoover roundel looks great is it made of bakelite ?

Hi Mike, always take the fine opportunity to have a play :) i need to get the others out and give them a run through...
This line up was initially for a photographer to shot for a website project. No news yet on the exhibition, museums take way too much time procrastinating!!
Cheers
Keith

Hi Mike,

The Hoover sign came from Australia - it is made from a hard chip board.

Cheers Keith
