This came into the shop today. I figured it was pretty rare and worth mentioning as I have never seen one before. Everything appears to be the same except for the color and the touchpad. The head has a little soap dish or something built into it.

Unusual Maytag Built Dryer

Wow Eugene, that has to be rare, Maytag built a lot of interesting appliances the last few years they were in business.

We talked to someone that had worked for MT the other year and he said that MT had a lot of interesting things in the planning stages that they were going to introduce, of coarse this is one of the reasons they went under.

Maytag introduced this color late in their end-game on a few appliances, mostly low-end stuff.  Performa washers, etc.  I've never seen it on a Crosley branded product but there it is.  It's a pretty blue, it has a kind of metallic shimmer in it.  I matched it on my WU-601 dishwasher with a spray can blue at Home Depot and oversprayed lightly with a mettalic silver to recreate it - one of the best rattle can paint jobs I've ever had :-)
