Wow, if that's still working, that's a good deal!   I think it might be a post-war model, though.   Geez, I have to do something about the '47 Bendix I have....

Seems as if seller is clearing out the home of an older person or persons (estate?). There is an older organ and nice GE fridge on offer as well.

That Bendix washer is interesting, pity it must be bolted down.

I have one of those.Very rare.I think that would be 1950 they didn't make a lot of those.

It is still connected and cannot see another washer in the pictures. So could it be the person or persons who owned that house never upgraded?

Am half tempted to at least inquire to see where in Brooklyn the home is located. From the pictures is seems "old" and again this is probably an estate sale of some sort.

IIRC due to requiring bolting down the machine itself isn't heavy as it looks. A good part of the weight for most front loaders comes from the various counter weights so once they are gone...
