You are right! Our 1993 Whirlpool dryer still has the original belt and light bulb in it from new. Just clean the lint out every couple of years and you are good to go. Is this a lint filter on the top model? |

Yes, that sure looks like a '65. I have one as the daily driver in St-Lib and it's working like a charm! Parts are still fairly easy to find (I may even have a couple of spare parts, too...) and they are easy machines to work on. Get some oil on the drum belt idler pulley if you do decide to get this dryer. They do wear out and can cause a horrible squeal. |

Some of those dryers are 1088 and the newer design but you cant tell that from the pictures.i have that dryer and its a 65.Very fun machine to have.Fetch. |

This may have been said above, but this dryer was built in both the older belt-drive blower version, and some later build examples were made in the fixed bulkhead new design.
Parts are more plentiful for the fixed bulkhead, newer design. This is indeed a 1965 Lady Kenmore. Seems like quite a lot of these were built as many seem to be around even today. Good luck getting it! Gordon |
