Hoover Model 0632 'Rinse-O-Matic' (Hoovermatic '3314')

I've had so much regrets (gone [sold] since 2013). Chatted today with the owner, who still have the unit, intact. Good news: he's ready to let her go... So, you may have guessed, I plan to bring this baby BACK HOME after three long years without her!

Storyline: Why the heck did I sell that beautiful vintage washing machine back in 2013??

As they say:
"If you love something, let it go.
If it comes back to you, it's your's.
And if it doesn't come back,
It never was...

So glad you got your hoover twintub back. I'm sure it's missed you too!
;o)

That's a great reunion story.  These are really fun machines and have pangs of regret for a few that I've let go in the past too.  Congrats on your re-acquisition :-)

Welcome back unclejohn! Glad to hear that you are getting your 0632 back again.

Tried to find you a little over a month ago. Take a look at the link below-a member here (Ladyboss1) posted about a Hitachi twin tub that I think might be the one you have been looking for.

Sorry guys!!! Was not keeping very much in touch on this forum lately, as I've been so very busy... I will do my best and try to check the website more often
(AW.org is THE reference in old/vintage washing machines and other appliances)

Thanks for the comments. Yes, Gan, a fun reunion adventure. The actual owner said he never used the Hoov since it was bought early in 2013! Just hope it still works great (those nasty Hoover pumps can give you migraines). I plan to use it, if it works correctly, although its no competition against my good old Simp 2-speed Supertwin...

Hey, Todd, nice to read you again on this one-of-a-kind forum. Hope that your lil' Hoover still runs great. Yes, seen the page regarding the Hitachi (comments added).

Christina, how are you doing? I still have the cute 0510 (with the 'yellow repair' drain hose). That one I just couldn't depart from--impossible! In fact, of the Hoov twinnies I kept the 0510, 0610, 0611, as well as the 0632 to come back in my kitchen--at last--within the next few days. Can't wait to give her a good spin someday soon!

Cool!

I see there is a 0610 or 0611 up in Rimouski for sale on Kijiji... so tempted. If it weren't for the fact that I am scheduled to go in for heart surgery next Wednesday! :-)

Thank you unclejohn. It's not major surgery by any means... I am not even being put to sleep. Back in December, I woke up one night with my heart racing at 150 bpm, and it wouldn't slow down. I spent three days in the hospital, and they had to give me an electric shock to get my heart rate back to normal. I am now on anti-arrhythmia medication to help prevent this from happening again, but this surgery is to correct the electrical "defect" in my heart so that I can get off the medication. They go up an artery in my leg with a catheter and burn small section of one of the chambers inside my heart to stop the electrical short circuit from occurring and keep the electricity flowing the right way. The worst part is that after the procedure, I have to lie still for 6-8 hours so that the artery insertion point heals up properly and I don't bleed, and then they keep me overnight to keep an eye on me. But then there is about a week of recovery time that I have to be careful, such as not lifting anything heavier than 10 pounds.

I know that procedure

Barcoboy.
If I remember correctly, it's called a heart ablassion (I think?)

My mom was supposed to have that done to her heart too. But the Dr couldn't perform the ablassion.

I wish you the best of luck & God bless & be with you.

I'm doing good.
How are you?
So you still got your 510 worth the mellow-yellow tape repairs.
Very cool!
:o)

But I'm sensing the 2-speed supertwin is the queen of the house now??
Hm hm hm....
;o)

Thanks Christina. Yes the procedure is a catheter ablation that I am supposed to have. That is strange that your mom wasn't able to have it... kind of curious as to why not. I know quite a few people that have had it done and they say it is nothing serious, but I am still a bit nervous as it is after all my heart they are working on. It will be good to have it done and over with.

Moms couldn't have the

hippiedoll's profile picture
Ablassion done because the Dr said her arteries twisted, turned, and dead-ended. I think they called it hetero-taxi or something like that?
Moms has all kinds of happenings going on inside of her.
So that's why they couldn't perform the ablassion on her. The Dr said that they could go back in & do it but everything would be done backwards, like looking in a mirror. And that the Dr that was going to perform the ablassion does like 1000 regular way ablassion a year and like only 5 a year of the backwards ones.
And moms didn't feel too comfortable with those numbers so we just canceled the ablassion procedure all together.
That's why she didn't end up having it done.

Yes, Christina, you are right : the Simp is the 'majesty of the home'

...But that lil Hoover, I like it too (model known possibly as the best ever Hoover has done) !!

''It will be good to have it done and over with.''

So true, Barcoboy. Like I said, youre in my little prayers. Feel pretty confident all will be okay
