I've searched on here for the page where it tells the date codes for Maytag Automatic Washers and for some reason I'm not finding. I've acquired a Maytag A207 and the last two letters on the date code is WO.  Can someone please tell me the date of manufacture?

Also, does anyone have an answer for the difference between the series that end with 8 compared to the one's that end with 7 and 6? I've seen like 206's and 207's, whats the difference?

Thanks for any help you can give me. For some reason when entering search criteria I'm not wording it well enough to snag the info I need.

Thanks again

Terry

Check out the link below for differences found on the _08 models.  Scroll down to posts dated 1/10/06 and you'll find it in the long one made by member "trok_99."

Others here will have to provide the date for your particular machine.

Very good link! Thanks so much!
I found the date on Appliance411. Its said Sep of '75, and I'm thinking thats probably pretty close.
Tomorrow I'll do some more checking into it. With the flashlight out in the drive way it looked like the serial number ended with WO and I saw on here they didn't have an O that it could be U and when I tied that, it gave me the date I mentioned.
We'll see, it seems to be in really good shape, I'm cleaning it up for a friend.
