Sadly someone has made an offer which the buyer could not refuse but I though I would include it anyway as its unusual to see one of these English Electric cookers in such good condition. Middlish 1950s - its just a regular storage cupboard underneath. It was listed at £150

To help readers get over their disappointment about missing out on the EE there is this Belling which is probably about the same age. And WHAT a bargain price!
It is unusual to see auto/manual controlled by a toggle switch. It also seems like their is no type of heat control from the upper warming cabinet, the one under the hob has a grill/broiler under the rectangular plate CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacbear58's LINK on eBay |

mid - 1960s and does not look in bad condition. "Gorgeous retro style" - not £400 of gorgeous!

Around 1973 -1976 - its fairly unusual to see the single oven version of this cooker as the double seems to have been a great deal more popular. A bit pricy

A little newer than the two Tricity ovens just listed. It drops down when the lid is closed so that it is (almost) flush with the worktop

eye level oven is most attractive, and I don't think any US maker offered one yet in the 50's other than built in. |

And it appears there is no grill/broiler in it. Moffat was part of the same group as Tricity and you can see some resemblance in the styling cues I think

Back to the bonkers department I am afraid. This is one reason why certain gas ovens were not supplied with grills because you could buy them separately although it would work out a very expensive combination. This cannon model would be from the late 1970s and would be contemporary with the Moffat oven

This model comes towards the end of the Belling Classic series and although I don't much care for the colour it is a real bargain and looks in very good condition

This 1970s TOL kitchen would certainly have been something in its day although it has been quite well updated in around the last 10 years of so. But my main reason for posting it is the Neff twin oven and extractor which again was the top of the line. Two full size, fully featured ovens with retractable controls and handles with the controls in the middle, I would love to have one of these some day

This is the previous range to the one shown above and ran from the late 1950s to mid 1960s. Looks like it has been painted

Its a model 9403 so I wonder where that fits in - the 9404 and 9414 models were around for ages and, indeed, could have been the last models of twin tubs manufactured in UK

I would say this is most likely late 1960s/early 1970s - its hard to date it as the Gaggneau appliances are not original to the kitchen, they are from the 1980s

Bendix, this model was around for a long while (7lb capacity) and there was even a larger model. Don't know where the Polaris comes in - perhaps it is nuclear powered rather than electricity or gas

This is my favourite version of this long running series - I suspect that the electrics not working is what is also whats buggering up the ovens. Bit it looks in great condition and the price is certainly right

Another bonkers price, it may be from January 1970. The red hooks that can be seen were to allow the power wringer to be removed and hung inside the wash tub

Not seen one like this before, that compartment above the oven must be for some sort of warming although the bottom drawer would have been heated too. Very expensive as the oven only heats on one side and they want it moving in a hurry!

I would dearly like this for my own oven collection but I just do not have the time to consider a trip to Hastings at the moment. It was manufactured by English Electric not Belling and would be a couple of tears older that 1979 as the seller thinks
