Just purchased a Maytag wringer washer. I have to hold the bar on top of rollers to keep them tight. What should I do?

If the rollers are together, all you should have to do is turn the handle on the top of the wringer clockwise until it clicks and locks in place. I hope that is all you have to do. Let us know more. You will love your new Maytag. Gary
