My grandparents had a set just like this, only in turquoise, in a new track home they bought in 1956. They were the first members on either side of my family that dad a dishwasher. The washer/dryer combo never worker properly so GE took the insides out of these combos form every home in the subdvision that had one, left the front, otherwise there would have been a gapping hole in the cabinets. They in exchange gave each homeowner a new GE Filter Flo and matcheing dryer.

Wow, it's not often these turn up in yellow!   I'd have to guess they are 1955 models based on the windowless washer/dryer door.  Wonder if it actually does dry (unlike Jetcone's 55 stand-alone...) LOL
