mike (dishwashercrazy) swung by today on his way back home to chicago after the big wash in party he attended this past weekend in maryland!
he took 5 of my appliances home with him!!! I wish he would have had room to take more! I loaded him up with some good ones too! he is now the proud owner of my speedqueen harvest gold solid tub washer, my 1965 coppertone rollermatic set that I went to tenn. for back in 2012, a great old modern maid front load impeller dishwasher (with a top roto rack) that I got in grand rapids mich. and a kdp-2 top load kitchenaid dishwasher I got from a trip to new York a few years ago. here's some pics! the modern maid dishwasher! this one has a brand new impeller I got from larry at modern parts in Cleveland. I did not know larry past away several years ago! mike told me that today, I figured he was still going strong!

in new York, close to Niagara falls area when I made a big road trip about 5 years ago.
it worked perfect but last time I used it about a month ago it had a drain pump issue. I'm sure mike can fix it! it has a separate motor type drain pump so if all else fails you can go on e bay and buy a cheap drain pump like the front load washers use and install that underneath.

old style kitchenaids it washes like a fiend! I love those old kitchenaids with the blue spray arms. I still have 3 more left, only in the front load style. this was my only top loader but it needs a good home with mike, I will probably never get around to fixing it.

with any of my solid tubs but OH WELL! I did it! mike will love it! works great, I did a good rebuild on it when I first got it. painted and rust proofed everything! even rust proofed the pump, inside and out.

about 5 years ago, smack in the middle of my living room! what was I thinking?!
I can now say that the only room where you see appliances is in my kitchen, I still have about 8 dishwashers on display in there! but the rest of the house is back to normal (as normal as mine will ever be!)

an extra motor and lint filter for the dryer, although the one in it looks like new, better than the extra one! and mike, if you see this I have an extra heating element, maybe 2, as well. should have gotten that for you yesterday!

appliances all over the driveway!
and I was fascinated with that power lift that mike had! I was wondering how we were going to get the heavier one's in the truck! I can't lift nearly as much as I could when I started collecting in 2009!

here's mike getting the Frigidaire dryer on the power lift whatever it's called.
and I was wrong before, we had the custom imperial models, there was no custom supreme, can't believe I forgot my Frigidaire model numbers! see what happens when you stop collecting! there was custom, custom deluxe, and custom imperial if my memory is correct!

happy to get some new toys! and I'm happy to see them go to a good home where they will be appreciated.
the more I get rid of the less I will have and maybe I will take more of an interest in the remaining one's in my collection. I collected too much and it became overwhelming so I said "screw it all" and gave up!

fill it to the rim!
hope you had a safe trip back mike, hope you get lots of help from members here when you dig into that rollermatic washer! they can be a real bear to work on but outside of nuts and bolts that won't budge the mechanism itself is pretty simple and as said the bearings on that one sound great. I'm sure you can coat that tub with something or maybe even find a new tub. I may have parts later on down the road. you may need a bellows, maybe not. out of the 4 or 5 I tore down only one needed a new bellows! enjoy them and thanks again for the cash! appreciate it! good luck!!! and to everyone else, I still have a spin tube that may be available, right now it's promised to a member, I have a Frigidaire slant top dishwasher I may or may not sell, I have a maytag top load washer from the 70's, some kitchanid dishwashers of the 17 series that may or may not run, a sears Kenmore wringer washer, a maytag dishwasher from the 70's, and a Frigidaire front load dishwasher in coppertone from the 60's and one in white from the 70's. some are free, some are modestly priced, all need a loving home! I will do a post later showing them all in pics when I get time this fall or winter. too busy now! thanks to all!

I'll start a new thread regarding the Escalera Staircat. I never knew such a thing existed until I saw a service tech using it a few years ago. When he left the business, I bought it from him.
