Hey there Paul,
I am not 100% certain, but I do believe the W754S may have had a prototype 950rpm release model as I think it was Miele's first high speed machine. Miele are known to make multiple variants of 1 model...take for instance the WT745 Washer Dryer, the Hydromatic model is 1400rpm, but I've seen some 'Novotronic' and 'Deluxe Electronic' models with 1250rpm. However the majorirty of W754S I have seen are 1100rpm. :) hope this helps. Brandon. |

Miele changed details on models rather often. And then there are the differences between countries. Somehow the Netherlands often got the models with the higher spinspeeds, sometimes higher than the German models. I guess we are a high speed country. ;-)
Actually I can't remember seeing here a W754S, only a W754. I found some brochures. The February 1983 one doesn't show a W754. The lower end models were the W751 (900rpm), the W753(1050rpm) and the W756(1250rpm). In the August 1987 there are only a W750 (1150rpm) and a W756 (1250rpm) for the BOL range. And in the December 1987 household catalogue there is a W754 (1150rpm). Also a W755 (1250rpm). |
