First off I would like to thank all of the very kind men and women on this site for all of your help. I did reach out to yogitunes Martin. I gave this washer a test drive and found it to be leaking. I ran a medium load of bath towel through. The washer washes so quiet strong pump, strong agitation, strong spin. Where is the leak? I did some investigation.. I think it is coming from the tub for some reason. I lifted it up during the fill a little and seen it drip steady, As it washed I has a slower drip? ID hate to scrap this beauty. I am not the best at being mechanically inclined. I did reach out to a friend who is familiar with this locally but refused to work on it saying to scrap it? Any one know anyone locally here in Buffalo Niagara falls area? Thanks all. I will keep everyone posted to fixing this leak. Something is telling me to keep it.

This unfortunately was the reason that most later BDWPs were sent on there way.
The good news is that these are fixable, but to do it well the outer tub should be removed and if you would like to keep the washer going another decade or more the transmission and basket drive should all be pulled out and parts checked for wear and replaced as necessary.
Stay posted we may do a WPBD washer seminar next year where some of you can bring your machines for help in rebuilding them. |

It was early this morning. I was thinking of the tub and how the spin tube runs up the center and how the outer tub seal sits. |
