everyone who knows me at all knows that the Hoover twintub 510 and 512 are my favorite machines in the world of washers. I do know that Hoover's first twintub in the U.S. was the model with the controls on the front right of the unit. But the shell of the machine looked exactly the same as the 510 and 512s just a few years later. So suffice it too say that the design of the hoover 510 and 512 were really just throw backs to the original design from 1957. I do really like the design with the rounded edges on the cabinet and the ss washtub. I would love to hear some opinions about the origins of the design. thanks Bill the drycleaner
