On my last trip to Budapest,I have used a laundromat and I would like to share some pictures of it.It was named "Bubbles" and it was a franchise. There were many stores in different areas of Budapest. All washers and dryers are "Renzacci"(I think it is a british brand). Some thinks that impressed me:
-24h open
-All wash cycles duration, even the hot one for whites,is only 23 minutes! At first i thought that my clothes wouldn't clean well,as the most laundromat machines end in 35-40 minutes, but the cleaning results were remarkable.I wonder why don't they produce and domestic machines that can wash such a large load in such a short time
-All machines(pic 1,2) can wash 11 kg,and there is also a single 16 kg machine
-All dryers(pic.3) can dry 16 kg in 30 minutes
-2000 HUF(about € 6) for wash and dry,and detergent is free
-You don't pay the machine, but there is a central touch screen pay station where you pay for all machines and dryers. The procedure is the following
You load clothes in the machine,
Close the door
Select desired wash cycle from machine controlling panel(touch screen too)
Go to the pay station and select your machine from its touch screen
Pay 1000 HUF for the wash cycle by inserting bills and/or coins in the pay station's slots
Once you have reached the correct sum, washing machine starts automatically
When wash cycle is completed, door opens automatically
Dryers work the same way
-You don't add any soap or other additives in the machine. It has no detergent drawer. All machines are equipped with automatic dosing and dispensing system that automatically dispenses Ariel detergent during the wash.I think it also dispenses fabric conditioner during rinse cycle because clothes were fluffy and fresh-smelling.
-Free wi-fi everywhere
-Comment wall where everyone can write down their impressions(pic.4)
If I ever have another trip to Budapest,I'll surely visit the place again
