Hard to tell about the stove and fridge, but they look like they have never been used. The dishwasher has never been run before and comes with what appears to be its original operating instructions. Someone please save this!

That dishwasher was right under the 1st electronic LK with the selectable 10, 20, and 30 minute wash option.

Stove is a Caloric that must have the broiler in the oven cavity as there were 6 control dials.

I posted this in Shopper's Square last night.

Sorry... It's under "Never used Kenmore D+M and other delights."

This Caloric stove is in nice shape. Amazing how the difference in quality changed for Caloric in 10 to 20 years prior to this stove. It looks so much cheaper than it's predecessors. Was this stove actually made by Caloric of the past?

I like the Amana refrigerator. It appears that some of the shelves are missing in the freezer compartment.

Real Caloric Gas Range

combo52's profile picture

The one for sale is the real thing, yes once they got squared up in styling they tended to look lighter, but this is still a well built range.

This one may even still have a cast iron oven burner, and it does have the UltraRay in oven broiler.

Caloric was one of the first gas range makers to sell a lot of pilot-free ranges and this made the ranges far more troublesome, but it also nearly  eliminated all the corrosion damage from constant burning pilots that usually did in older gas ranges.

Because of this ranges built since the pilots were gone can last almost indifferently without becoming a rusty mess.

Is it

a coincidence, that this Caloric range has identical "Uniburners" as Magic Chef had?
Then by the 80's, there was some rationalization taking place with ranges. Certain Whirlpool gas, Caloric, and Modern Maid ranges were identical. They and Hardwick by ( Magic Chef) also had a micro-ray broiler. Tappan was building gas ranges for GE before they closed up shop.
There were Kenmore gas ranges that didn't look like anything I'd seen before after the Roper plant closed, at which time GE became the source for Kenmore electric ranges. My brother had one very chincy gas range back then, I forget the brand. They were just starting out and bought the low end.
