Almost looks like a match to the Lady Executive Series

It is a match.  Hotpoint offered the TOL model Lady Executive with the wide body and large door dryer but this was pretty close and probably a good match if you didn't have the space to install the larger machine.

Resistance was futile

But it's still a GE clone; which is a good thing because they were better dryers. It's a bad thing if you're in it strictly for collecting. Actually, I don't think I've ever heard anybody here comment on the overall quality of Taylor Avenue dryers; any takers?

Early 70s 27" Hotpoint Dryer

This is the same as a GE dryer, it was built in the same plant to the same quality and performance levels.

All the extra wide GE and HP dryers were built in the Taylor Ave plant during this time and yes they were not quite as good as GE HP 27" dryers, but there was not really much difference.
