These Maytag marketing posters dating from the 1950's - 1970's were rescued from the vault of the Maytag research and development building in 1990. I was a newly-hired design engineer there at the time and was assigned the lowly task of cleaning out the blueprint and documentation room. These were too neat to throw away so I brought them home and they have been stored in a dry space for the past 26 years.

Posters like this would have been distributed to Maytag dealers. The Maytag Gas Combination Washer and Dryer was only sold for a brief period of time in 1960 and then pulled from the market. Maytag bought all of the sold machines and destroyed all but a few of them. Over the years I have searched for these posters on the Internet and eBay and haven't been able to find the same or similar items.

All of the posters are originals and printed on thick stock paper and have a matte finish. The red and blue washer and dryer posters measure 18 inches x 21-1/2 inches. The disposer and dishwasher posters measure approximately 14 inches x 18 inches.

I'm including some of the photos here - there are many other Washpower washers and Halo-of-Heat dryers in the listing. Prices are also shown in the listing.

I'd like to put dibs on the A906 poster if it's still available. I once had a whole set of cut-sheets that were laid out like these beautiful posters. Interesting that before they hit the market, apparently, the Power-fin agitators on the Extra-large capacity machines was black, not turquoise. Were they ever made that way? Is there a poster somewhere of the WP-600, the first Maytag dishwasher?
