Todd, are you in the market for a spare set?

I wonder why only the washer's cabinet has the shading effect.  Both machines appear to be the same vintage.

They are significantly different ages.  The dryer is more like a 306.  Timed dry only as there is not temp buttons, which would mean all low heat cycles.

No spare sets for Todd....

Ralph, I e-mailed with Todd a couple weeks ago to ask if he was still interested in the 1969-1970 GE set I offered him.   He said he has limited space and will be focusing on collecting washing machines only, no dryers.   I will be listing the GE set and others here in the next few weeks.

Kevin thanks for the report.

Bob, thanks for clarifying.  I thought any dryer with just a dial and no buttons was an Electronic Control model, but after reading your post I remembered our electric HOH dryer that almost caught fire had no panel buttons either, and was probably a similar model to the 306.

Due to the distance issue, I thought both machines had the later acrylic knobs and metallic timer dials.

Age difference

Like Appnut said, they are not the same age. The dryer looks to be newer. The dryer is probably a 308, or something close to that. "8" being the operative key. By that time, shading was gone.
