I got to thinking tonight, both turquoise and sunny yellow are tough colors to find in Maytag's '06 Series. There are several turquoise sets in members' collections, but what about sunny yellow? Specifically, has anyone seen a dryer in that color? Any in the club? -C

Kevin had one that he sold to Mark. Since Mark passed away back in May, I haven't been able to find out what happened or what will happen to his machines.

I think those pastel colors were phased-out shortly after the -06's debuted. 1966 may have been the only year available on 06's.
Too bad. I thought they were much more appealing to the eye than the Olive Green, Coppertone, Harvest Gold colors that followed!

Sunny Yellow and Turquoise were discontinued together, after July 1967 and replaced with everyone's favorite Harvest and Avocado.  The pastels in the 06 line were only in production for about 18 months.

Yes sunny yellow, but...

Justin, the set I sold Mark was the older design before the '06 series.  In fact it was a matching 902 set.

I had a gas access door, in sunny yellow. Does that count?

Wow, who knew they were that scarce? I do have an '06 washer in yellow (something like a 206) but it needs a paint job and total going-through. Seems like yellow just doesn't hold up to bleach like some of the other colors. Not sure I'm ready for that kind of commitment just yet. But as far as dryers go, I've never seen one.
