Listed as not working and with a starting bid of 50 dollars. The seller describes himself as a collector. I wonder if he's anyone known here?

Lid Switch

This bypass switch was added by one of the members. It does belong to one of the club members.

That toggle switch and the lettering

Is anachronistic to the machine.

It's added. Given the fill mechanism (very clever), no way Maytag would have sanctioned it, anyway.

If I had the time, I'd grab her in a New York Minute.

I think the person who's selling this also has a GM Frigidaire listed.

It's a rapid dry 1000 but there isn't a model number listed... here's the info for those interested-

Is this the model with the tub light at the back of the lid?

It sure is!  This was shared on the early 141 Helical Drive as well, and was quickly changed over to the one piece lid for the model 142 with the light above the tub edge.

I was the one who added that switch to bypass the lid switch and fill float system back around 2000.

YOU ARE CORRECT

The same person has both these machines. Both need repair. I have 2 of the Model 140. John L. is going to take the 2 machines and make one good machine.
