Does anybody know if the PEX supply lines from the made in Sweden Asko will fit the made in Germany Miele?  I'm assuming both are metric.

Far as one knows

European supply lines (water and drain) are European supply lines.

Cannot recall but *think* used NOS Miele hoses for my Oko-Lavamat instead of the "water stop" device one from AEG.

I figured they probably would.  I just hoped someone had done it and could speak about it.  The PEX lines are so much more robust than the Miele hoses are.

IIRC only thing that matters is the difference between American and European washing machine hose connection sizes. Learned this when first got the Miele W1070 and was informed by that company's service techs that hoses sold in USA for use here won't work.

Have since laid in a supply of Miele and other European brand hoses so am well sorted.

Talked with Miele today, had to order the liquid detergent insert anyway and had them price the hoses....$60 each.  Must be gold plated, or paying for the diesel fuel to power the ship that hauled them over here from Deutschland.  If the PEX lines will fit I'll just stick with them.  They are one piece, no spliced connections.  But, they are stiff as a board.

Unless urgently required

One always scouts around eBay on "worldwide" setting to see what there is. Often you can find Miele and or other European laundry parts for less than what MieleUSA wants including shipping. If one waits until the USD is strong against the Euro things are even better.

I went ahead and hooked up the Miele hoses, they look ok, I'm just not sure how old they are or how much time they spent actually under pressure.  So far I'm pretty impressed with the Miele.  It's definitely heavier than the Asko is, and that little Swedish machine is built like a tank.  So I guess the Miele is built like a battleship.  Put the Asko in MIL's basement until I can get the timer fixed.
