Only gave ten dollars for it - pretty good deal I'd say. I don't know if it works, and it will be quite a while before I do. I don't have a gas hookup. Do we know what year it was made? I'm pretty new to washers and dryers.

Serial number will tell you date of manufacture.

Did some more investigating on the dryer today, and I found that somebody taped a ball bearing over the door switch. It doesn't turn on without it with the door closed. Also, a picture of the nasty mess behind the lint filter.

That simple door switch can be a real pain to replace.
