Which is why you have to be EXTREMELY careful when using the bleach dispenser on ANY new machine that does not have a porcelain enamel top. |

the Whirlpool wash impellers are al plastic. Every so often, those dispensers need to be cleaned of bleach and detergent residue along with the entire area under the lid. Also leave it open so it dries. Hot water makes moisture condense. |

Kevin, to the best of my knowledge, Sears never broke off their relationship with Whirlpool. Many of the current Kenmore products are made by Whirlpool, including washers & dryers. If you know otherwise, please provide the details. |

Many are also GE built and they are absolute JUNK, you are lucky if the main bearings and seal last 2-3 years, and Sears won't give you the time of day if you ask for help with the over $1000 cost of repairs. We have junked more than two dozen of these this year alone, the owners are always disappointed but in goes a new WP or SQ stack.
GE at least is giving out either new machines or big discounts on a new machine on the GE branded models. |
