Hello, haven't posted for a while but wanted to share. I recently found one of my dream machines on Toledo craigslist "I will try to see if I can get the link to post". I was speaking with the guy who has the washer and dryer for sale an he noticed my call came from West Virginia, I told him yes I live in wv an he says u want to drive all this way for a washer and dryer and I said yes. Well he began to tell me how crazy I was, which he might be right as I've went out of state before to get washers dryers as that's the only way I can get the w/d sets I want, then hung up on me. So get to the point, I've seen before other aw members would go pick up a washer or other vintage appliances for other aw members if they live close to the location of the appliance. Jus wondering is there any other aw member located close to Toledo Ohio that would even think about snatching these up for me until I can pick them up? I will pay you! Again jus a thought but would love to have these!

Rude

The question of whether one's behavior is rude or not is asked in another thread, in another forum; but I think "rude" is very applicable here to the seller.  I mean, he has an interested party on the phone and he calls the individual crazy and hangs up?  Hmmm...

Oh well.

Doug, if I were local to Toledo I'd be glad to help you out.  Have you considered the possibility of shipping?

Best of luck to you!

I have to admit, those are pretty cool. It was the very last of the old style mechanism for the washer with the new style controls.

I'd like to give the seller the benefit of the doubt, but gosh - that was nasty.

Here's to hoping somebody around here is close enough to help you, those need rescuing from such an in-duh-vi-dual.
