The compressor unit isn't original to the cabinet. The compressor unit is 1933. Its a one year only design sometimes referred to as the "soup can" condenser. The cabinet is an earlier porcelain style. I see it has the infamous "knee knocker" foot pedal.

That's a 1933 CA2 Form A unit on a 7 cubic foot 1933 porcelain cabinet.

Thanks for the correction and for educating me. Didn't know they were still making porcelain cabinets in 1933. Thought that ended much earlier. When was the last porcelain cabinet made?

Ken,
I don't believe they ever stopped until the 1960's. They made painted and porcelain cabinets for each model generally. It was a price issue. |
