Heads up Birmingham area! An estate sale at 5416 11th ave S (Crestwood area) has a Crown Frigidaire 1-18 for sale as well as a center dial electric Maytag dryer. Both are in MINT condition with no rust. Both machines are working, had a wet load in the washer and a dry load in the dryer. Price is a little steep, $ 150.00 each. I'd love to have them but not at that price. There will be a half price sale Sunday afternoon, but I have to work!! Sorry, but I didn't have a camera with me to get pics. AND there is a dryer to match the Frigidaire washer at the Foundry Thrift Store in Bessemer..not in as good condition as the washer, but could be cleaned, etc to make a set. Hope someone's interested.

Forgot to mention that the washer does not have the agitator cap. Otherwise, didn't see anything wrong with it. There were also 2 40 inch Frigidaire ranges in the home, both 50's era, in superb condition, and a bottom freezer Frigidaire frig. Not sure the frig works, it looked forsaken in a corner of the basement.

If you want a 1-18, let me know. I'll let you into my stash! I don't need another one right now!
