Last time our dryer had no heat, it was the heat sensor. I in error suspected the coil igniter. |

On my first repair that my dryer needed, I went from suspecting the ignitor in it, when it wouldn't heat, to discovering when the repairman came it was the thermo-fuse...
Then the next repair, it was the ignitor, after-which it had gotten a complete over-haul, and just recently I had replaced the door-switch, though the repair guy let me run the machine without it until he could get the right part... We then also got the interior light to work again; the connector just wasn't fully threaded into the socket...

The Frigidaire dryer I recently bought for $20 quit heating and the previous owner didn't want to fool with it. I thought it was the igniter too, and when I checked continuity in the igniter it registered none. Got a new igniter...and it also said no continuity. I went ahead and installed it while I was in there and got to poking around. I found a thermal fuse that was shot. I jumped it to test it and the igniter glowed and the gas ignited. Replaced the fuse and now it's my daily driver. |
