pitting will let some water past seal-also if bearing fits shaft right above seal area,that is badly worn. |

At this point, unless there is a really compelling reason, I'd say this piece of junk is late for a date with the crusher. The pitting on that spider makes clear it will kill any seal. LG has done some very good work in the past and currently, but this is not one of them. Sorry to harsh your buzz, but you did ask for my opinion. |
