Does it drain through an air gap? If it does not, no problem. If it does, the tubes can clog. If no water is getting out, it would be the inner one.
Is the motor reversing to drain? |

by the disposer connector. The hose used was what looks like the old style non-corrugated rubber hose. Thank you for the great advise. I was worried it was going to be something more tragic. |

I wonder what she put down the disposer to cause that kind of torsion. |

If the pump and motor run fine in the drain direction and it does not have a clogged air-gap or badly kinked rubber drain hose, then remove the drain hose from the check valve that is screwed into the pump assembly. If water does not poor out unscrew the DCV and you will likley find that has something loged in it, unclog it and the DW will will work fine again.
Note: when you unscrew the DCV any water in the DW will poor out, be prepared to catch or mop up about 2 gallons of water. |
