Our Maytag DG312 dryer is close to 30 yrs old.
Its always thrown lots of lint out the discharge.
Metal duct with 2 - 90° ells venting out the wall behind dryer.
Family and friends dryers don't seem to throw as much lint. But all theirs are electric.
Is that anything I can do?

Most dryers Throw Out A Lot Of Lint

The amount depends more on how you are washing the clothing.

You can reduce the lint that goes out the exhaust a lot if you don't clean your filter so often, if you leave a thin layer of lint on the filter the dryer will send 1/4 the lint out the exhaust system.
