Probably an early to mid 80's machine and kind of noisy. In fact, the very first washer that was made with that design happens to be the picture of the day today. It was rated at 14 pounds and eventually the same tub would be rated at up to 22 pounds as time went on. I would take the Maytag set, if it is in decent shape it would give you many more years of good service.

That is a later 80s model, perhaps 1988 or 89. If I am correct, that is when the indent at the bottom of the front began looking more like that of a Kenmore.

Last of the Gorge porcelain on steel tub models. Early eighties. After they bought Admiral, the newer metal tubs were painted, not porcelain on steel. The paint would eventually peal.
