And I say unusual only 'cause I've never seen one like this... I figured it was a double-oven model, but it appears to have only the one upper oven. The lower cabinet (which I first thought was a French-door oven...) is reminiscent of a Flair. Most unusual... well to me, anyway... LOL

It looks like a "N" model and not a Twin 30 as it has storage under the cooking surface
instead of an oven (French door ovens weren't available after 1961). I have this model in my documents somewhere but I don't recall seeing one for sale. I thought these also had lighted panels in their backsplash but maybe I'm wrong. It's a good thing they went with the porcelain liner for the oven instead of the chrome ones. The Deluxe never had chrome liners and the built-in Custom Imperial Flairs also got rid of the chrome liners in 1964 and other Custom Imperial models followed later (my 1966 Twin 30 still has a chrome liner but I think they were gone on all 1968 models). The Flair oven doors were also replaced by side-hinged doors on the "N" model high ovens and and Twin 30 but they were still there for a few more years on the regular Flairs with the cooking surface in a drawer. |
