This was the first solid tub service manual I ever received from Frigidaire in Dayton, OH. I was about 11 years old and it finally answered my years long question of the where the heck all the water went and how it did it so fast on my Grandma's Frigidaire washer when the it went into spin.

I just uploaded the 1966 Frigidaire Coin-op Washer service manual to the Ephemera Library. I also uploaded a comprehensive 1947-1960 Frigidaire washer and dryer parts manual. It contains ALL the parts (not just fast moving parts) to all Frigidaire washers and dryers from 1960 and earlier. This includes things like control panels and dials, cabinet parts and agitator/tub parts. Part numbers are included which makes eBay searches much easier.

Boy I remember these coin-op machines in laundromats down in south Florida so well! I loved going and hanging out and watching the machines operate for hours when we were on vacation.

OOO! Thanks for the Frigidaire parts guide, Robert!

I swear the first Frigidaire washer I ever saw in action was one of the coin-op models.  I remember the machines were in the 'laundrymat' at a campground near Cape May, New Jersey and they were... wait for it... turquoise!

I remember the old open-air laundries around Miami. Nothing survived that climate very long including the GE's and SQ's. Back in the 50's and 60's the old neighborhood just S.E. of what is now "Little Havana" was full of alter kockers living in small concrete block structures (apartment buildings and homes) built in the 40's that had no provisions for an Automatic washer. There seemed to be an over abundance of rusting Frigidaire washers out on concrete back stoops many without any protection from the weather other than a simple awning. Many of them coin-ops, both Unimatic and Rollermatic. I think rusting washers on back stoops is still a common sight in the older neighborhoods of South Florida.
