Without a heater you need a nice supply of *HOT* water. At least 140F if not greater which was standard in many homes back then these units were first offered.
TL dishwashing has gotten on my nerves so while a lovely machine, am not interested. *LOL* If can find one of those Ikea 18" kits that turn Miele dishwashers into portables, the MM likely is going to be replaced. Hahaha. |

Looked into that some time back; sadly NYC area carpenters like other tradesmen aren't inexpensive. The ones who would take such a job wanted very dear money so quickly moved on.
Could kick myself for not nabbing one of those Ikea kits when they were so easily found. Someone was literally giving the thing away after the purchased but decided to go with built-in instead. |

Interesting.
I just posted in the yellow forum about my KD-2P, which I've had since about 2006. It's in my enclosed patio kitchen. I ran it a few times and then parked it. Rebuilt the top lid hinges out of stainless steel (I was a machinist at the time). It cleaned well enough but I had another dishwasher in the main kitchen (Bosch) which was more convenient. It's a fun machine.
Oh, and thanks for this thread. I was wondering the year of this dishwasher. It's not printed anywhere on the machine. But 1958 sounds about right. |
