General Electric refrigerators from Keely Smith's Palm Springs home. Interesting but other than the color I don't see anything unusual about them, especially at $1,200. I once talked to her in a store in Downtown Palm Springs. I never thought to ask her about her appliances. I think it would be more appropriate to paint them "That Ol' Black Magic" black.

Just the size I'm looking for, but I only need the one on the right, and the orange (looks red to me) is a little too much.  The price is way too much, regardless of provenance.  Maybe if they were Lucy's . . .

If those were side-by-side when they were in the kitchen, it would bug the hell out of me that GE switched only the handles and not the badges on left-hinged models.

Beautiful - glad to see they offered the red (it is very orange) in a refrigerator as well.

It appears in the pic with the door open that the cabinet is white, with only the doors painted red. This would indicate she had them painted; perhaps she owned the red GE range, and wanted them to match. I'm thinking GE made only the range in red for some type of special short time promotion.

I agree Tom.  Unless they were recessed to appear built-in, the red doors with everything else white would make them look like clown fridges.  If I were to even consider one or both, I'd want to investigate options for removing the red paint.  But again, the point is moot considering what they're asking for them.

That would make sense, I was always under the impression that only the range came in red. It is a very orange-y red.
