Jackson this time, interesting variation on a theme of glass oven door. It not cheap but with all the bits its not too bad overall.
Note the grill/broiler pan which fitted under the rectangular hotplate, and the deflector that you could use to send the heat upwards if you were not using the broiler CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacbear58's LINK on eBay This post was last edited 03/11/2017 at 04:59 |

Mid 1970s no fan oven. The Hob is obviously later than the oven and hood. The light is from British Home Stores 1978, I had two of these lights myself back then

This is the earlier, single oven version of the oven previously listed, this would have been around 1973/75

This is the double oven version of the one just previously listed. Fundamentally it is the same as the first oven in black, but the overall size is smaller, closer on to 100cm rather than the 120cm of the black oven. The hob is 10-15 years later

I see American toploaders are rather popular too. Or perhaps less popular because people are getting rid of them?
A Maytag in Manchester: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maytag-Top-Loa... A newer Maytag with impeller in London: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maytag-10-5-To... Another Maytag (relabeled Whirlpool me thinks) in London: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maytag-Top-Loa... A Whirlpool with the colour coded control panel (You see those quite often on this side of the pond) in Boston. The ad says they also have the dryer for sale, but it isn't listed: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Whirlpool-Amer... And a somewhat dented compact Whirlpool toploader: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/whirlpool-Heav... |

The Magimix 2800 is my favourite classic foodprocessor. There are quite a few on eBay, but all of them are incomplete more or less. What do people do with the attachments?

Thanks for posting the various items Louis. There has always been a small demand for top loading washing machines in this country - a market which was largely satisfied by the Hotpoint machine, for many years it was the only such machine manufactured here. And that demand continues so there is a small but regular stream of American machines here, as well as a few Samsungs, LGs and Fisher & Paykel. And a surprisingly large number of Australian Hoover top loaders.
Likewise for the H axis top loaders - indeed it was a surprise to find out last year that the first Philips models where manufactured in the UK - so there have been Bosch, Miele and any number of Hoover and Hotpoint machines as well a few of Brandt origin with different labels on them |

When I am back home I will have a check in my old Which magazines but I think this machine resembles one the tested back in 1961. Rather like the pulsater AEG models I think it will suffer as the action tends to push the clothes above the water level, the only arrangement I have seen where this really seems to work is the Servis machine (which had a very large pulsator) or the Rolls (a Dutch design remember) where the jet of re-circulating water kept the clothes pushed down.
With Hoover the side mounted pulsator set up different water currents (seven I was told) which keep the clothes moving through water This is the very simplest gravity drain machine, and must have been very cheap to produce, its a shame it is so expensive .... |

I know about Vacuumland, but I thought visitors here might appreciate this bit of 1950s goodness. Manufactured in Holland it was more commonly seen here branded a Romocco, rather than Erres who were the manufacturers. It is based on a 1940s Universal cleaner and we also had a UK manufactured version by Phoenix.
It seems like it has been beautifully restored, but the price does rather make the eyes water ...... CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacbear58's LINK on eBay |

Speaking of hand mixers, the crap picture on this listing belies what is a rather attractive mixer. It is a 1970s Kenwood Chefette branded for the Timothy Whites Chemist (drug store) chain. Its actually a rather nice pistachio colour - and yes I already have one, with a stand :)

Early built in, almost integrated fridge, probably late 1940s early 1950s, rather like English Rose, but obviously another company

NIB, watch to see how the price of this rockets. The colour coding on the flex indicates that it is pre 1970

It seems a long time since I saw as much NIB stuff come up at once, this Chef will likely go high too - I don't think I have ever seen one NIB before. I wonder how it could have been left unused for 40+ years

Never seen an Electra version of this iron before. This was the updated design of the long running Morphy Richards iron by Kenneth Grange of Kenwood Chef fame

I do not know if this is an original colour Chef or if a respray, but the original decals look immaculate so its seems possible that it is original.

This was the first model Magimix sold here and indeed was one of the first processors of any kind on the UK market

Most likely that Magimix was the first foodprocessor on the market in some European countries with an induction motor. This is one of an early series, later ones had an on and off switch on the right side of the machine. This model, and also the later 2000 had discs with their own shaft, so they take up a lot of space. This was solved with the introduction of the 2800, there was a separate part on which the discs were put, so there was only one shaft for all the discs.
Spare parts are still available for these machines. www.magimix-spares.co.uk... |

Never seen one of these before, looks a bit like a percolator. 1970s by the look of it. Just picking up from something posted earlier in the thread, it was a surprise to find Best was a division of Reythone Corp

This is an older Bamix handblender or stickblender. It's a 2 speed model, the basic models had only 1 speed.

Never used Braun foodprocessor in box. Looks brand new. These were the hit in the 1990's, you saw them in a lot of cooking shows in the NL. The price is steep, but it is new after all. Great quality pictures too, if only every seller would take such pictures.
