Sounds very interesting-but ozone is toxic and damaging to fabrics and other items unless used in very small amounts.I would have to imagine the sanyo machine would have to be vented outside while it is operating-and would clothes or other things processed in it-stuffed toys, shoes, get an "ozone" odor?

Hmmm... Looks very retro almost like a Westinghouse, but I'll take the girl :-D

Are we (American consumers) going into another "Anti-Bacterial" OCD phase???? Is every machine from now until the asteroid hits going to have some bell and/or whistle so they can market it as a clothing sanitizer?

Boosted hot water temperatures can kill a lot of bacteria (and, I think more significantly, clothing mites and eggs/larvae of other pests)but they're more useful IMHO for deep cleaning clothes. And, as somebody so wisely said on this site a little while ago, our Mothers (and Others) washed our clothes in less ambitious machines and we were reasonably healthy and well dressed.

...I'm much more interested in a machine that gets rid of Republicans.

Too bad the ozone doesn't float up and gather in the ozone hole, therby plugging it.
