LOL You youngins! I saw and worked on so many of those back in the day that I guess I fail to appreciate them as I should now. They really were EVERYWHERE! Never really thought about them being scarce later on. |

Something we agree on, Steve: Timed bleach dispensers are a great feature. Gives the detergent time to do its job before the bleach is released. Kenmores dispensed it during the last 4 minutes of the wash. These Lady Kenmores were very quiet, too. It certainly has a beautiful console with all those colored pushbuttons--- and a garage door to hide it if you wanted to go for a very sleek look.
Like Bruce, I took Kenmores for granted because it seemed they were in every other house in our town. Plus, I had a severe case of Frigidaire envy. Now I appreciate how feature-laden our 1960 Model 80 really was. |
