I painted my maytag wringer washer with rustoleum spray appliance epoxy with great results. I can't wait to see your pics when its done.

I was given one when i first got married way back in 1976 .We used it for about three years nice machine very quiet just that lovely swishing sound as the water is agitated

Glad to see youre getting on with the restore Johnny, have searched all the Servis literature and earliest have is the later models but apart from square tub the gearbox , drive, wringer units are simiar and you can easily work out how to get stuff done, saying that all 5 of mine havnt neaded any mechanical repairs on those , they are built like tanks and still going strong...

Yay !! That's it finished at last. I chose the black and white colour scheme as it goes with my kitchen colours!!

Hi Johnny,

Great work! I think black & white quite suits it and the finish you have achieved is so good.

Echoing Mikes remarks these are very solid machines and the mechanics shouldn't give you any bother for years to come. Engineers nowadays upon seeing one of these would probably say they are over engineered but really its good honest British engineering at its best.

Hi James. Thanks for the compliment. I really have enjoyed restoring this machine. I would also agree with Mike, that these machines are built like a tank and should last for years. They just don't build them like they used to!!!!
