Haven't heard anything about Roper DWs, lately. I recall that the low-end Ropers were at the bottom of the ratings in Consumer Reports due to poor water filtering which redeposited soil on dishes. Here's a Quick Recommendations report from this month's magazine. If you're looking for an inexpensive but highly rated DW, you might check out the Amana. Let us know what you wind up getting!

Yeah the Roper/Whirlpool tower wash BOL machines seriously are crap. Even the BOL GE machines wash rings around the Roper because at least the GE have standard hard food disposers and a rudimentary mesh filter in them. The Roper has NO filtering and NO food disposer whatsoever. Also, I'd recommend the BOL Frigidaire. it has a 2 level Precision Wash system wich is really good. 100% fine filtering and food disposer. I recommend the GE, Amana, Frigidaire BOL machines for a cheap-ass / well performing machine lineup. |
