Just posting for the vintage A/C fans - is this pretty much toast? The back is so dented!

There are multiple A/Cs for sale in that Ad...

The smashed fins are actually on the evaporator(interior) of a Temp Master. The TM is probably salvageble if you used fin combs. youtube.com/shango066 had fixed an A/C in worse condition than that, I'll link to the video, it is pretty interesting.

The Carrier be might fine on the back, best bet is to call and ask.

Fingered Chinese (Zenith) Air Conditioner Repair

ovrphil's profile picture
That was a pretty nasty looking air conditioner, even if worse exist that were repaired. I like the dry humor, Rich. But I did not know there are tools that will
separate easily, the fins. I have painstakingly separated those fins by hand with anything that worked(screwdriver, small wooden spatula, anything). Now I find out!

Thanks. Hmm, what else is buried under all those YouTube videos? :-)

He has tons more! My favorite YTer

speedqueen's profile picture
Everything from his usual vintage electronics repair videos, like vintage B/W and color tv and radios. He also once repaired the auto defroster in a fridge and often blows various modern things up like 1990s TVs(he calls them Black Plastic Crap TVs)in so called EOL(end-of-[the]line) videos. For every presidential debate he blew up a few sets that were displaying it. Abandoned mine exploration videos and old abandoned California and Nevada mine towns.

If you watch some more and like him, see his friend's channel "radiotvphononut".
