This had to have been in the early 70's judging the appearance of the machines. They were pretty good machines. Washed well, held an enormous load and spun out well too and the tangling had all but disappeared. By this time though, the great washer and dryer race was over. Pretty much everyone who was going to have a washer and dryer already had one and all anyone did now was to replace the ones they had when they needed to. In just two or three more years Frigidaire would sell their appliance line to WCI and the beginning of some of the worst machines ever made would start. The washers were just clones of what Westinghouse was then making and the dryers were terrible. They had a multitude of problems with the drum rollers, blowers and many other issues until WCI finally started making them clones of Westinghouse dryers. Never again would there be a pulsating up and down washing machine.
