First:  It's overpriced

 

Second:  The incompatible outlet is a lame excuse (assuming there is 240 service, just change the cord)

 

Third:  Those pictures were not taken in Palm Springs, that's for damned sure.

I'm almost of the opinion that the whole ad is bogus.  If so, it wouldn't be the first one.

Maybe the apt. was set up for a gas range.

 A friends son got an apartment once, and she said he said he needed an electric stove. So I found one, took it over, got in the kitchen, and saw a gas pipe coming up through the floor, and a 110 outlet on the wall. He thought the 110 outlet was all that was needed to run an electric range.

 

Yes, people are that dense.....

Very neat range, it is an early sixties model, one of the last years of the GE models with the elevated control panel.
