Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if any other brands made the direct drive top load washers with the press buttons or the press button touch pads like the Whirlpool clean touch feature

If you see one or if you see one on the internet, reply with a picture of the washer at least or if you see one in person, reply with a image/picture of the washer, the washer control panel, the interior and the model number and the serial number.

OK young man, Kenmore's took the lead with the electronic control panels, then Whirlpool, Kitchenaid and after that, Maytag.

The other manufactures sticked to rotary controls until years later....

Others will chime in with photos and videos.

This is the Second generation in Electronic Direct Drive!

Larry, I was going to say--there was the initial LK Electronic BD in 1976 or 1977.  Then the Limited Edition BD in the early/mid 1980s.  That initial BD version didn't initially have an electronic control panel dryer--it was mechanical push button.  Then the initial DD version in 1986.

You are right Bob!

Simplicity made easy was the first electronic BD, then the toggle switch start, then the push button start switch, then after that, the clean panel Belt Drive, the end of the year Anniversary Edition Belt Drive, then the Direct Drive sporting the same panel and after that, my unit!
