my Aunt & Uncle had that exact fridge in a new house they bought in '61 and sold just 2 years ago (the fridge was replaced by a WP 20 yrs ago).

The second fridge is a GE

It is a late model flat top from the late 30s or early 40s. Super reliable. Only thing that ever goes wrong is the old rubber door seal and the wiring insulation.

Damn. I'd love that Frigidaire, just a bit too far for me. It has the correct swing too. Sigh.

My aunt and uncle had the same Frigidaire, too. She baked wedding cakes, and they had it in the basement, for supplies. And the GE was in a break room at a place I worked.

Too bad no interior shots.

The Frigidaire looks like the one my mom's friend Frances had, along with their Flair range. I always though this style got dated quickly, while the GE's of the time didn't.

My sister and her husband had an old GE in their garage for a long time that was like the one shown. It was his parents first refrigerator. I was sad to see they had got rid of it about 4 or 5 years ago.

I wonder what kind of job it would be to replace the Frigidaire's door pull.  I have a feeling it wouldn't be so simple as unscrewing it from the front.

And yeah, there's no way I'd pursue the Frigidaire without seeing plenty of interior pix first.

I have contacted the seller about a month ago but haven't moved to get it since... I have the matching food freezer for the 1960 but I am on a tight budget since I moved to my new house so I haven't decided to get it. If it would be free or almost, I'd be very tempted!

It would look good next to my freezer!

$250 is a bit steep. I think this is some 2nd hand place or the leftovers from an estate sale.

Hmmm.  The door pull on that freezer looks the same as on the subject fridge.  Maybe the fridge doesn't need a new one?  I thought the pulls had a charcoal gray insert with the circles-in-a-circle pattern.

I think that's how the Deluxe models were.
