I saw this some time ago and didn't post it - thought it was already posted, but just in case.

Here's the ad:

Kitchenaid Imperial Portable Dishwasher, Mfg. by Hobart, model KDI-58

Features/Description:
• Perfect for adding a dishwasher and counter space to a cottage or apartment without remodeling.
• Fully operational when last in service and sanitized and dried before being put in storage because we expected to continue using it. Has been in storage for 4 years as owners moved from an apartment to a house with a built-in unit.
• Does a great job of washing.
• It is a full-size dishwasher (not a mini) housed in a rolling metal cabinet with a 1 1/4" thick solid wood butcher-block top.
• White with chrome accents.
• Includes threaded quick-connect adapter that screws into faucet in place of standard aerator. Should fit standard faucets.
• Recently overhauled and rebuilt, including the following new, OEM parts:
o main gasket (at bottom of tub, around motor)
o seal at bottom of door
o impeller (the part that produces water pressure)
o drain hose
• Has electric heater for drying, but uses hot water from the tap (no internal water heating element).
• Some cosmetic defects: chips from enamel on cabinet, some rust on casters, stains on door seal; Plastic parts that retain power cord and hose in back had cracked & I repaired with some glue and a metal paper binder clip to keep the cord in place.
• Vintage equipment - yes, it is old, but as such, it is serviceable and repairable, not disposable like many units today, and made in the USA. Plus, it has that retro look going for it.

Operation notes:
The unit attaches to the kitchen sink via a quick-connect adapter. When ready to run a load of dishes, extend the hose, attach to the faucet, plug in the power, and turn your tap to full hot water. Choose the desired setting and run the cycle. The machine will draw water from the tap and eject wastewater out the bottom of its adapter into the sink. This may repeat a few times, depending on the cycle selected. When the machine stops at the end of washing, first turn off the tap, then press the red button on the faucet connector to release water pressure from the hose. Finally, remove the connector by pulling down on the brown ring and thereby releasing the unit from the faucet adapter. Unplug the power cord and retract both the cord and hose into the cabinet, then roll the unit wherever you like.
