AD READS: "White Kitchen aid portable dishwasher, full, rinse and hold and soak cycles. fan forced heated air drying. racks and interior are in good shape, other than a couple spots of rust on some tines. Very powerful dishwasher, and does the full cycle in 45 min rather than two hours like modern machines. with excellent results. There is one small leak coming from the drain valve, lets out a tablespoon of water on the floor. was going to replace the part but have too many other projects on the go to deal with it. Faucet adapter is not included, easy to get at home depot or Canadian tire.

50 firm....."

This is not a KDS-17 DW

Its a portable based on an 18 series KA DW without an upper arm or any kind of booster heater for water.

Wouldn't an 18 series dishwasher have the gasket mounted on the tank frame instead of around the edge of the inner door?

Wouldn't this be a Regency?  KDR67, perhaps?

Good eye, Ken, Yes this is actually a hi-bred design, it uses the pump and motor of an 18 but the tank, racks and door of a 17 series DW. This DW was built after they stopped building 17 DWs.

My first dishwasher albeit the lesser Delux model. Purchased at Woodwards Dept store Vancouver a block or two off Yaletown..  It worked great even without the upper spray arm.

Not to invite trouble...

but wouldn't this be a more rare machine, then, if it's a hybrid? But then, numbered manufactured would be important, moreover.
