Methinks that you have a drain valve issue. If its a portable Deluxe as you say it is, take off the lower front panel and the valve is right in front on the left if I remember correctly. It should be vertical where the hose from the pump goes into the back of it and the bottom of the valve feeds the drain hose for the unicouple. It can be taken apart for cleaning. More than likely that it your issue. This machine's motor runs in one way only and constantly during the cycle except for dry.
